I began this blog after closing my "Start" restaurants during the pandemic, pivoting toward developing our ranch. In 2021, I enrolled in a Texas Master Naturalist training course. Since then, I feel like I'm seeing nature with new eyes.

I am the victim of my own enthusiasm for new experiences, and so I have dabbled in more than one career. But the three main areas I have found myself in are Hospitality, Law and Agriculture. As I work my way toward whatever my next career steps may be, I am enjoying exploring nature and cultivating our ranch.
We abuse land because we regard it as a commodity belonging to us. When we see land as a community to which we belong, we may begin to use it with love and respect.
